Changing lives is at the heart of Page Outsourcing. We achieve this by creating opportunities for people to reach their full potential. This ranges from helping individuals from lower socio-economic backgrounds improve their CVs to providing interview coaching to veterans and running work insight days for young adults.

Recently, we collaborated with our customer, OneAdvanced, and charity partner, LTSB, on one such an initiative. Together, we hosted a group of disadvantaged young people for a day packed with insights into the world of work.

Read the below blog from Alicia Roy, Employer Brand Manager at OneAdvanced, to discover why cross-company collaboration and strong partnerships are essential for creating long-term impact that improves lives.

Developing Future Leaders: A Learning Experience at OneAdvanced

Recently I had the privilege of hosting thirteen ambitious students at our Birmingham office for a full day of connection, learning and inspiration. In collaboration with LTSB and Page Outsourcing we created a space where real-world insight met hands-on interaction, exactly the kind of opportunity at the heart of OneAdvanced’s commitment to Bettering Society.

From the moment the students stepped into our office, they were immersed in our culture and values. After a tour of the workspace, our Director of Talent Acquisition, Danny Hodgson, presented on future skills and helped the group understand what is coming and how they can prepare. Then Astrid Bowser, our Principal Product Manager, guided a session on OneAdvanced AI to demonstrate how innovation really takes shape. But also, how we bring Better Technology to life, creating innovation that is responsible, accessible, and ultimately built to create positive impact for our customers and their users.

After a relaxed lunch and friendly pool competition the afternoon continued with OneAdvanced’s Malisha Patel, Revenue Enablement Executive, and Feargus Illingworth, Sales Development Representative Team Lead, sharing their professional journeys which prompted insightful questions and reflections. Stuart Brown and Alan Griffin from Page Outsourcing then led a session on personal branding. They provided practical tools for the students to express who they are and what they stand for - supporting the essence of OneAdvanced’s Better for our People pillar which focuses on building confidence, removing barriers and widening access to opportunities. We concluded with OneAdvanced’s Alex Beaumont, Senior Marketing Manager, briefing on innovation, and student sales pitches on OneAdvanced.

What stood out most was the students’ energy. They asked thoughtful questions, connected authentically with our team and delivered excellent final presentations. Their talent, drive and potential were clear. A special thank you to Stuart Brown, Talent Acquisition Manager at Page Outsourcing, Adella Brown, Employment Manager at LTSB, and their teams who did an incredible job supporting the students and making the day so impactful.

This generation is not daunted by artificial intelligence. They are excited about the opportunities it brings. They are curious about how AI works and eager to get involved in this unique moment. Their curiosity, maturity and desire to use technology for good reflected exactly why responsible innovation sits at the heart of OneAdvanced’s ESG strategy. Remarks like, “I don’t like wasting time scrolling on my phone,” or “Can you introduce me to someone in Finance? I’d like to learn more,” show that they are deeply intentional about their futures.

Over the past year I have learned how important it is to find an employer that shares your values. At OneAdvanced making a positive impact on society is one of our core pillars. We believe that businesses exist to support their communities and to better society. As highlighted in our Societal Reports, our mission to power the world of work is matched with a responsibility to support communities, reduce inequality, champion inclusivity, and contribute to a sustainable future. This event with Page Outsourcing and LTSB was a small but meaningful example of how we put those commitments into action and the critical role played by partnerships.

While the day was designed to benefit the LTSB students, I gained just as much from the experience. Their enthusiasm was a reminder of why supporting the next generation is essential to OneAdvanced’s long-term Bettering Society strategy.

Thank you to everyone who made the day such a success: the students, our facilitators, our hosts and the broader OneAdvanced community. The future is full of promise and together we are proud to be doing our part.
